We asked them and found out that despite being a relatively easy business to set up, putting all the pieces together and making them work can be time-consuming, distracting and expensive. The concept of 3R was created and designed to enable top recruiters to own their own business, focusing on recruitment and letting 3R take care of everything else.

Mike has worked within the recruitment industry since 1995 — as a top-billing consultant before moving on to a managerial and directorial role. As part of the executive management team, Mike helped grow a small business into an AIM listed company — establishing a business unit from scratch and developing it into a £multi-million perm and contract division, where he oversaw 50 members of staff. Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (FIRP) and has mentored a number of IRP award-winning consultants throughout his career.
Chris has been involved in technology for over 20 years, having founded and developed a market-leading, cloud back-up business. His hands-on knowledge of a wide range of technologies allows him to bridge the gaps between product understanding, service delivery and client satisfaction. At the forefront of several start-up ventures, Chris has considerable experience of working with new businesses, helping them to establish rock-solid foundations from which they can grow. His 10 years’ experience as a business-owner has also seen him involved in the acquisition and sale of numerous organisations.

Plamena Zhekova — Accounts
I’ve worked at 3R as an apprentice Accountant for a year now. With support and training from my colleagues I’ve learnt a lot about recruitment and our Back Office system. Day to day I deal with processing new contractors, sending Back Office logins and ‘confirmations of hire’ to our recruiters' clients.
Within the Accounts team we deal with invoicing, reconciliation, remittances, VAT, recruiter payments and weekly statements. I’m always busy and learning all the time; I’ve just passed my level 3 Accountancy exams and really enjoy being part of the 3R team.
Alex O’Donovan — IT
After years of working at an AIM-listed, top recruitment company I moved to work with Mike and Chris at 3R, 3 years ago. I now lead a team of developers who are responsible for maintaining and improving our Back Office and CRM system.
My typical day involves overseeing our projects in progress, assisting the help desk team and helping import data for new start-ups!
We’ve recently been working on integrations between our systems and 3rd party tools such as Bullhorn CRM and Broadbean as well as keeping up to date with GDPR compliance.
Kim De-ath — Account Management
After working in recruitment for 12 years I really do understand the day-to-day challenges you face. My role at 3R is in Sales and I also manage a thorough ‘onboarding’ process, where I work alongside our customers to create their business. I could be buying domains, securing hosting, setting up emails, creating Terms of Business, providing CRM training or adding Broadbean accounts... It’s a thorough service!
I really enjoy developing close working relationships with each of our start-ups and helping their businesses get off the ground and flourish.
