Of the top 5 most posted jobs Mechanical Design Engineers (£49.5k) and Electrical Engineers (£47.8k) are still commanding the highest salaries - with Electrical showing a slight average salary drop. Apart from senior sub-disciplies of Directing and Management, Project Management £64.7k and Aerospace £54.7k are over the £54k mark.

IT & Technology
Of the 129,695 IT candidates on Totaljobs active within the past 6 months 56% are in London and South East, with 10% in the North West. Of the top most posted jobs Data Engineers (£75k) are earning more than Software Engineers (£67k) while Senior Software Engineers earn the most (£79k). The last 3 months have seen job posting volumes decreases dramatically for Software Developers, but .Net Developers has more than trebled. Most sub-discipline average salaries that shot up 3-6 months ago are holding steady - with SAP up another £9k, Software Development up another £2k and Busines Analysis up £1k on average!

Of the 27,221 candidates on Totaljobs active within the past 6 months 58% are in London and South East, with 12% in the North West. Of the top most posted jobs, Data Scientists have the highest average salary at £67.5k (down £2k), followed by Technical Managers at £59.6k. Research Associate job title also enters the most posted top 10. Sub-disciplines of Data Science, Biology and Technology are holding average salaries over £50k with Biology rising again in last 3 months to a £56.8k (from £47.6k in Jan 25 - Jun 25).

Of the 38,035 candidates on Totaljobs active within the past 6 months 67% are in London and South East, with 8% in the North West. Of the top 4 most posted jobs, we're seeing slight fluctuations only in posted volume and average salaries, however Finance Manager posting volume is up by 1,000 and the average salary is up £1k too. Sub-disciplines of Project Management, Reporting, Directing, Merger & Aquisition are all over £66k. Interestingly, the average salary for Treasury roles has gone down £6k after a big +£18k spike between Oct 24 - March 25.
